March 2, 2013- Cream of the Crop ABGA Show

The ETGRA Cream of the Crop ABGA show will be returning March 2, 2013. We have changed venues to the beautiful Henderson County Fairpark Complex in Athens, TX. The fairgrounds are located directly adjacent to Hwy 31 E on the east side of Athens with easy access for trailers. If you are looking for Athens, it is approximately 60 miles SE of Dallas.

This will be a 1 day, 2 show event, with check-in available 5 - 9 pm March 1 and 7 - 8:30 am March 2. Show #1 will begin promptly at 9 am. See Cream of the Crop ABGA Show Entry Form for more information. Remember the deadline for Early Entries to be received will be Feb. 22, 2013. Shavings (if you wish to use them) are to be purchased from the facility for $6/bag (one bag will usually fill 2-3 pens). Hay IS allowed in the barn. Full concession stand will be available Saturday, March 2. Judge for Show #1 will be Ray Bolinger. Judge for Show #2 will be Beth Mason. 

Athens has several hotels available, including Best Western and Holiday Inn Express. There are RV hookups at the fairgrounds ($25/ RV Hookup and payable at the gate), as well. If you have some non-goat family that want to join you on your excursion to East Texas, the nationally-famous First Monday Trades Days in Canton, TX will be held this same weekend-less than 30 minutes away from Athens.
